Congressional Art Competition

Each spring, a nation-wide high school arts competition is sponsored by the Members of the U.S. House of Representatives. The Congressional Art Competition is an opportunity to recognize and encourage the artistic talent in the nation, as well as in our Congressional District. Since its creation in 1982, hundreds of thousands of talented high school students have represented their communities and have served as artistic ambassadors.

The Congressional Art Competition is open to public, private, and home-schooled high school students who reside in the Twenty-Fourth Congressional District of Texas. The Grand Prize Winner from our district's competition will be displayed for one year in the U.S. Capitol. The exhibit in Washington will also include the winning artwork from all participating districts from around the country. The winning artwork is also featured on House.gov's Congressional Art Competition page.

If you are unsure of whether you live in Texas’ Twenty-Fourth Congressional District, please visit www.house.gov and use the “Find Your Representative” feature in the upper right-hand corner to verify the district of your home address of record.
