Elementary Art Showcase and Forum

The Elementary Art Showcase and Forum was a program for Texas-24 elementary school students to display their artistic talents while engaging in civics education. Students learned about the three branches of government and creatively showed their interpretations of the government through theme-based artwork. The participating students, their families, and art teachers were then were invited to attend a forum where the students presented their masterpieces and were recognized for their hard work by Congresswoman Van Duyne. Themes for previous years included "Holidays at the Capitol" and “The Sights of U.S. Capitol Hill."
