Rep. Van Duyne today released a statement following her vote on the House Democrats' continuing resolution spending plan.

"The Democrats once again proved they have no intention of governing. Instead, they steamroll trillion dollar spending bills through Congress, wait until we are moments away from defaulting, then expect quiet acquiescence from Republicans to raise our debt limit to crushing levels. 

In order to continue their damaging spending spree, Democrats voted to suspend the debt ceiling. This level of unchecked spending will shackle future generations to a debt that destroys our economy and stability. 

Although I am not surprised by today's vote, I will continue to work to cut spending and return fiscal conservatism to our budget for this generation and those to come."
