Washington, D.C. – Rep. Beth Van Duyne today called on President Biden to address his recent comments regarding the potential use of tactical nuclear weapons in the war in Ukraine.

On October 6, the President stated in a room of donors to the Democrat Party that America is closer to nuclear war than we have been "since Kennedy and the Cuban Missile Crisis."

Furthermore, the President added that he knows Russian President Vladimir Putin "fairly well... and he is not joking when he talks about potential use of nuclear weapons or biological or chemical weapons."

"The American people, not just Democrat donors, deserve to be reassured that our leaders are taking the necessary steps to ensure their safety," said Rep. Van Duyne. "That is why I am calling on him today to address these alarming comments and set the record straight."
