Press Releases

Irving, TX – Rep. Beth Van Duyne (TX-24) today spent the afternoon working with Agape Connect and Operation Blessing to deliver food and water to families across North Texas struggling in the aftermath of Winter Storm Uri.

“Winter Storm Uri has wrecked havoc on our state, leaving many North Texans cold, powerless, and lacking critical supplies like food, diapers, and formula,” said Van Duyne. “But even in the midst of this storm, our communities are quickly stepping up to the plate to provide basic necessities for our neighbors in this serious time of need. I have been amazed by the generosity of organizations like Operation Blessing and Agape Connect, and I'm so thankful to have had the opportunity to spend the afternoon with them today."

“Agape Connect believes in meeting people where they are and fulfilling needs right here in our community. I am glad we have leaders like Rep. Van Duyne who show up in crisis, roll up their sleeves and help us get to work. The aftermath of this storm will take all Texans lending a hand to help one another,” said Gerson Hernandez, Executive Director of Agape Connect.
