Veterans History Project

Texas is home to one of the largest veteran populations in the nation, with over 300,000 in the Dallas-Fort Worth area alone. These men and women represent every branch of the Armed Forces and every era of service.

In partnership with the Library of Congress’s Veterans History Project (VHP), our office is proud to help record and preserve the firsthand military experiences of Texans so their service and sacrifice are never forgotten. The VHP’s archives offer a vivid and deeply human record of service, courage, sacrifice, and resilience.
