Washington, D.C. – Today, Rep. Van Duyne introduced the Small Business Regulatory Reduction Act to keep the regulatory costs and burdens agencies inflict on small businesses at or below zero dollars. This bill also takes necessary action to require a yearly report from the Small Business Administration on all federal regulations that would negatively impact small businesses.

"Small businesses are the great assets to our communities, and they have enough on their plate in today's economic environment," said Rep. Van Duyne. "Adding additional costs on top of rising prices, labor shortages, and record inflation will only further set our small businesses on a path beyond recovery."

Rep. Van Duyne is joined by her GOP Small Business Committee colleagues on this bill including: Ranking Member Blaine Luetkemeyer, Roger Williams, Pete Stauber, Dan Meuser, Claudia Tenney, Andrew Garbarino, Young Kim, Byron Donalds, Maria Salazar, and Scott Fitzgerald.

“Small businesses are combatting numerous crises stemming from wasteful spending and over-reaching red tape from the federal government. Under the Biden Administration, the federal government has added over $200 billion in regulatory costs. The unnecessary and overburdensome regulation from President Biden and Speaker Pelosi has impeded the growth of America’s small businesses,” said Ranking Member Luetkemeyer. “The Small Business Regulatory Reduction Act will stop the unnecessary burdens and directs the SBA to conduct annual reporting on how small businesses are being impacted by burdensome regulations, and I applaud Rep. Van Duyne for her hard work on this legislation.”
