Rep. Van Duyne Applauds Trump Administration's Reciprocal Trade Agreement with Cambodia
October 28, 2025
Washington, D.C. – U.S. Representative Beth Van Duyne (R-TX-24), Co-Chair of the Congressional Cambodia Caucus and member of the Ways and Means Subcommittee on Trade, issued the following statement after the Trump Administration announced it had finalized Agreements on Reciprocal Trade with Cambodia:
“With the Cambodia Agreement on Reciprocal Trade, President Trump and Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet have opened the door to vastly improved trade opportunities for American businesses, farmers, and tech innovators who have long faced unfair tariff and non-tariff trade barriers,” said Representative Van Duyne, Co-Chair of the Congressional Cambodia Caucus.
“Having engaged with counterparts in Cambodia over the past several years, I know how much they value this new agreement and the stronger trade and security partnership it represents with the United States. President Trump continues to demonstrate the immense value of fair and reciprocal trade – advancing prosperity, peace, and global stability, as reflected by the recent signing of the Kuala Lumpur Peace Accords. I sincerely appreciate the efforts of Ambassador Jamieson Greer for his leadership in securing the immediate elimination of all tariffs on U.S. exports and securing unprecedented access to Cambodia’s market.”
